A native of the Washington, D.C. area on the Virginia side, Mr. Mournighan graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in Economics and History. He moved down to Americus in 1998 and received his teaching certificate from Georgia Southwestern State University in 2005. After teaching at a homeschool cooperative for a couple of years, he joined the staff of Furlow when it opened in 2015.
